Needs to be updated

There is an issue when trying to download this game. I would recommend waiting until an updated version is released before purchasing.

My favorite strategy game

Works great on my MacBook Pro. Thanks for making it for Mac! Now I don’t need to go back to my PC with WinXP or unstable but working on Win7.

This game had to be downloaded three times. The third time it didnt crash. It works fine and all the DLCs included are really fun. Don’t buy if youre not patient, buy if you want to wait 12 hours, download after download.

I love the Total War series! (I’ve been a player of them since Medieval Total War I). I downloaded the app the day it released. I’ve been playing it heavily for weeks with no issues of lag, crashing, or anything else so far. My download went fine and I didn’t encounter the issues others are reporting. I’m not sure fi they’re network problems or maybe older Macs that have the issues? Hard to say. For anyone interested in the specs of the machine: MacBook Pro Early 2011, 2Ghz i7, 16GB 1333Hz RAM, 1TB 7200 RPM HDD, running OS X 10.11.2 (El Capitan).

This is better than any of the other Total War titles available on the App Store. Adding religion to it makes controlling territory easier, but at the same time, creates the challenge of appeasing the Pope, and the possibility of dealing with a Pope from a faction that you are at war with (definitely not a good thing). I’ve had two instances where it has crashed while loading battles, but this hasn’t negatively affected my ability to enjoy it. I will say this to those who intend to purchase this title. It’s a BIG file, so make sure that you have a fast and steady internet connection before downloading it. Also, from what I’ve seen, most (if not all) of the negative reviews for this game are related not to gameplay or playability, but to download issues. Those who have been able to successfully download this title haven’t had much to say negatively about it. Most complaints are about downloads failing, so consider that.

I dont know how somebody can rate this title with anything less then 5 stars. Perfect port from Feral. Together with Rome 1 this is by far best creative assembly title

M2TW really is the pinnacle of the TW series of games and Ive been playing it on the mac under Wineskin for years. This port is fantastic and can be played on modern hardware with the bells and whistles turned up all the way due to its age. If you like strategy games, I cannot recommend this enough!

I’ve been waiting for the app store to finally have access to this game, I love it and its absolutely amazing! The only minor downside is that it takes forever to download but once its done it’s totally worth it!

After waiting for years to get to play this game after it’s release, Ferel Interactive finally answers my prayers and delivers one of the greatest strategy games of all time. I did keep in mind of the warnings that the other reviewers gave regarding the dithering pace of the download time and the constant crashes that plagued the game. I want to assure all of you that the software update has not only fixed the major crash issues (I did experience only one crash after purchasing it, but nothing major), but online multiplayer has been included. If your mac has the latest update included (either Yosemite or El Capitan), it should only take between 2 to 3 hours to download, and afterwards it should be able to run smoothly. But please, be patient while the application downloads, and don’t pause it unless you’ve got between 2 to 3 hours to spare. I beseech this advice, out of experience, to those who are purchasing this game for the first time. As for the game itself, it depends on what type of mac you use. If you want to expereince the thrill of a mega, epic-scale war (escpecially in multiplayer), then I advise you purchase a Mac computer that will sustain sharper graphics and large scale units. The game will play well on MacBook Pros and the latest laptops too, but it runs a bit slow. Nevertheless, after hours of battling English Knights and Saracens, I’d say that the updated version is worth the admission.

This game to be made for it’s time is revolutionary. The graphics are surprisingly good with dedication in detail. The only thing is that not many people play multiplayer and i hope that if this can somehow connect to window users but it doesn’t. Only can connect for mac. The campaign takes getting used to but it very fun. And only start out with a couple of factions but you can add more by destroying a faction like Sicily so then you can play that faction. Also thsi game comes with the Medieval kingdoms expansion. Very good game overall. :D.
